The power of football
We have Eddy Griffiths (MU Foundation Skills Lab & Mentoring Coordinator) and Jonathan Buckley (MU Foundation High School Partnership Coordinator) delivering this month’s session to tell us about how they engage young people in their work.
At Manchester United Foundation, we use the power of football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live. We aim to develop young people in four key pillars; to be happier, healthier, more connected and skilled. How we do this, is underpinned by the REDS framework, a four-stage model which operates on the key principles of Relate, Empower, Develop and Sustain. Our discussion will explore the frameworks design, how it looks in practice and provide the opportunity for us to gain your expertise in critiquing the model.
